Giovanni Boldini’s “Sulking” (1880) (Gustave Courtois in his Studio)
I cannot believe it has been a year. 365 days. 365 images. For the most part, the past pandemic year has felt empty and out of control. Writing has been too much of a struggle. The words refuse to work. My one post a day–an hour or so spent playing with images–made it easier somehow.
I am not sure what the next year will bring. I am not sure if the images will continue in the long or short term. All I know is that right now…in this moment…I am very pleased with what I achieved.
Unfortunately, the grand idea I had to celebrate the occasion was stymied by technological woes and limitations. Today’s image is not exactly what I intended to make, but it represents the rough idea.
